Was in Salford from Thursday evening until this morning, was curious as
to how much snow would fall in that area as initially NW England had been under an amber snow warning. As it turned out there was barely more than a dusting on Friday, which had just about gone when I left this morning. The snow amounts increased substantially as the train approached Macclesfield and there was a complete covering all the way to London and from London to Horsham. Seems like whatever system brought Friday's snow just grazed the Gtr Manchester area and slid SE. A couple of inches on the ground in Horsham and it is still snowing lightly. |
