![]() Walk you walked? The snow was so bad at times when I was a lad we had to crawl on our knees through t'snow as the wind was so strong you couldn't stand up. And that was after a breakfast of lard and coal :-) I should have said tried to walk ![]() Graham |

I too walked about 1.5 miles to school in snow and worse, slush !, in the 1970's.

I know the Secondary Modern kids did miss a day, but that was only because their school bus slid off the road and ended up in a ditch, but apart from one broken leg I think there were no serious casualties. |
