About another 7 inches of snow yesterday, starting about 3pm and continuing steadily untuil midnight.
Strange view of Lowestoft beach from my office - bottom half golden where the tide has been in, top half white !! Kids sledging outside the front door. The roads to work were rutted and slushy following gritting, but traffic moving slowly. Our school is still open, so unhappy kids... Off work tomorrow so will make the most of the snowfields before the grass returns at the weekend. Brac |

Brac ---------------------------------------- I think there is another poster from Suffolk and I was waiting to hear from someone. I was watching the radar and noticed how it lept going in Suffolk up until midnight. Just 8cm in the south of Essex but combined with the cold a very pleasant scene outside. Dave |

Yes we got much more than the ~8 cm originally forecast in North Suffolk. The system seemed to be re-energised in our neck of the woods. I feel as if I have been shovelling snow all week and we must have the best part of a foot in total now.
No complaints though - despite the lack of sunshine this has been a really nice change from the previous weeks of endless 8 deg C and frequent rain. Brac PS Thanks for the recommendation of the weather station Dave - it seems good value for the money. I must connect it to the computer when I've got time... |
