Large amounts of low cloud but fairly bright much of the time with intervals of hazy sunshine. Freezing all day. Light NE to ENE wind veered E in the evening. Lying snow 7 cm.

Poor air quality as a result of pollution trapped under temperature inversion. Smog alert in Belgium today and tomorrow because of high levels of particulate matter in the air: reduced speed limits on urban roads.
