Overcast at dawn with rain starting around 10.00 local time. Light to moderate rain until about 13.00. Dry subsequently with cloud breaking from around 15.00 to allow some sunny intervals before dusk. Fresh SSW wind in the morning decreased during the afternoon and veered SW.

Overnight rise in temperature to around 5°C thawed much of the lying snow and most of the rest has gone during the day: only scraps left now.
