Ok I'll look out for some HAIL over the next month. You'd better be right otherwise I'm going to the Daily Express with this. Just need one brief clarification, though - it won't be hot hail, will it?

I'd pay good money to put Piers and for that matter the even worse
rabble rouser peer screaming Lord Monckton into the stratosphere.
I expect 15-20 minutes up at 80,000 feet ought to do the job.

Yesterday, still within the period of exceptional cold weather predicted by him to last until 3rd February, has turned out to be the warmest day since last November. Oops! -- Malcolm

He did predict a slight warming though. Nevertheless, the Coronal Holes pair activity will make his latest forecast BANG ON.

"PERFECT! Earth facing Coronal Holes (EFCH) pair today 1 Feb http://bit.ly/XYg8ht (via SpaceWeather site http://bit.ly/WFCu7e ) confirming WeatherAction RTQ* forecast "Earth facing Coronal holes &/or Active regions likely near central longitude solar disc 31 Jan – 1Feb"
(*RTQ = Red Weather, Thunder/Tornadoe and Quake (trial) risk, aka/in (Rest of) World Extreme Events forecast).
FIVE M6.0+ (one M6.8) quakes so far in present QV5+ (30Jan to 2Feb) Quake trial warning period (associated with R5+ 30Jan to 2Feb) http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquak...quakes_big.php
Piers says "This SLA8C R5+ period and associated QV5+ are giving amazing results:
The - all associated - and predicted: EFCH, Sudden Lower polar Stratosphere Warming, wild waves in the jet stream, major Arctic blasts (developing) in B+I/Europe and USA, serous difficulties in standard forecasting techniques and (a swarm of) major Earthquakes around the world have ALL been confirmed. This is tremendous vindication of the power of our Solar Lunar Action Technique".
He added: "The idea that changes in atmospheric CO2 levels from 0.03% to 0.031% have any effect on any of these associated events - predicted by Solar-based techniques - is delusional nonsense beyond belief."

Well I'm sure if the science and experiences of AGW are so real and evident that no one will listen to them So calm down Martin and save your money . Unless of course they may be right.

Might be true, but the current CO2 level in the atmosphere is 0.039%
which represents a much bigger change. Does Piers not know this? If
he did it might give him pause for thought. Again, pigs might fly.

And of course while even an increase from 0.03 to 0.039 might not sound
like much, it's actually an increase of 30%. (A percentage of a
percentage!)
