Interesting piece in the FT mag this morning about the effect of
microbes at 8-15km above the earth. It refers to a paper in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences: http://www.pnas.org/content/early/2013/01/22/1212089110 "Just having a small number of these micro-organisms around could facilitate the formation of ice at these altitudes and attract surrounding moisture." Interesting too about how they get there. Hugh -- Hugh Newbury www.evershot-weather.org |
