I'm not sure how pointing out how IMO the media and the so -called experts now exaggerate everything weather and climate wise; can be construed as being a troll.

Weather and climate? They've been exaggerating /everything/ since before
your mother was born, and 2000 years before that. There is absolutely
nothing new here. They even invented a word for it.

I strongly disagree Alan, I never evr remeber cold weather forecast spun so in the sixties and seventies. Okay so we kvnow the technology wasn't there but even so weather forecasts were limited to a few minute slots after the news about twotimes a day. Now there are two genera and local every hour with far more spin on them thab ever.
