Obviously you still have the warm air that affected much of
England & Wales yesterday. However a 3 degree difference
between the two Brussels sites seems very large, how
significant is this?

I was surprised at that too. Brussels Airport is just NE of the city and Uccle is in the southern suburbs http://goo.gl/maps/G1qkS .

I notice that the airport reported a change of wind from SE/S to around NE early this morning http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/current/EBBR.html . At Uccle, the change didn't occur until 16.00 local time (15.00 UTC). Perhaps that made the difference: the temperature fell at Uccle with the onset of the NE wind there http://www.kmi.be/meteo/view/nl/1586615-Webcams.html ..
