Cloudy and frosty start: overall snow cover from showers yesterday evening and overnight, giving a rime-like effect on trees. Variable Cu and sunshine from mid-morning but rather cloudy at times in the afternoon: light snow shower at 15.15 local time and a brief shower of snow grains at 17.45. Still cold: freezing again this evening. Moderate N wind in the morning became lighter in the afternoon.

Snow thawed quite quickly in the sunshine but shady areas still have a covering.
