At one time, Australia was under British jurisdiction but I don't think it was part of Europe at the time. ;-) I was about to suggest the British Antarctic Territory. Perhaps that should count not just as part of Europe but as part of the UK, which would rather mess up the daily "Coldest place in the UK" that appears in the newspapers. ![]() -- John Hall "Madam, you have between your legs an instrument capable of giving pleasure to thousands and all you can do is scratch it." It would also mean that central England would be in the tropical South Atlantic, not far from Ascension I. or St Helena. I fancy that, at the moment, some Central England residents might fancy a transfer. -- Graham P Davis, Bracknell, Berks.
