OK, it may be 7C, but there's a F5 ESE wind and it's currently cloudy.

A tale of 2 coasts today. Rough sea conditions on the south coast, with the strong onshore wind, conditions made more unpleasant by the wind gernerated waves hitting a fairly large Atlantic swell. Big tides as well so I should imagine conditions will be interesting off Gwennap Head.

Still, the same swell is giving a great wave in the offshore conditions on the north coast, The Gwithian surfcam http://www.sunset-surf.com/Surf-Check showing the surf. Plenty of people around despite the fairly unpleasant conditions.

A big contrast to yesterdays much lighter winds & prolonged sunshine. Cloud should be gone again tomorrow.

Easily the coldest March since the quite excceptional 1962.
