![]() Lots of water after fronts passing South Norway. Norway's main road E6 is closed. Seemingly worse than the '50 years' flood in June 2011. See e.g. http://www.nrk.no/ho/ http://gd.no (in norwegian) Bjørn Sørheim |

See e.g. http://www.nrk.no/ho/ http://gd.no (in norwegian) Now about 50-60 roads closed because of the flood. Main road through Norway E6 closed in several places between Vingrom and Kvam. The situation in Kvam is much worse than in 2011. Damage for several 100 millions NOK there according to NRK-TV. Flood level increasing in southeastern part of South-Norway. Dam could breach near Eidsvoll from river Vorma. About 500 people evacuated. Bjørn |

I have also to mention that the two only railway lines between Oslo and Trondheim is also blocked, the backbone of the norwegian railway system north-south. The two main roads E6 and Riksvei 3 (Main Highway 3) between north and south will continue to be unpassable until over the weekend according to NRK-TV. A pretty out of the ordinary situation. Have I ever heard of it? Tonight the best alternative route - Valdresflya - will also be closed due to repair work. Bjørn Sørheim |

You do know there was a severe earthquake in Russia don't you? We had enough warning to be careful. Not that there is much you can do about floods except buy an house on an hill and don't let any ignorant *******s chop any trees down. |

Concerning the flood, it has subsided much in the northern area, Kvam etc. But is increasing in southern part - Lake Mjøsa and Lake Øyern. Bjørn |

Who was that? Do you have the article URL? It was the lead photo on one of the links you supplied -when I looked at it. It may have dropped off shortly after. And not appeared when you looked. Why not clip the stuff you link to and place it on a forum somewhere Here is a public one on Opera servers so you should feel at home with that: http://my.opera.com/Are-You-a-Lunari...e-Myself/blog/ Or you can start your ownthere quite easily. Concerning the flood, it has subsided much in the northern area, Kvam etc. But is increasing in southern part - Lake Mj sa and Lake yern. Look out for some increased seismicity in your region. I think flooding goes hand in hand with volcanic activity. North of the gas fields, is there much in the way of coal and the like? |

Think I know who you meant. She has been on main norwegain TV channel - NRK1 - in the two last days also. Yesterday she was very gloomy, today a bit happier, as a bit of her garden could be saved. .. .. I think flooding goes hand in hand with volcanic activity. North of the gas fields, is there much in the way of coal and the like? Are you talking coal layers under the sea bed? Don't know there, but possible. On mainland Norway, no coal whatsoever. Why do you think the industrial revolution happened in England/Scotland and not Norway/Scandinavia?? Of course on Svalbard there are tertiary coal. Would coal produce more seismicity, if so why? Bjørn Sørheim |
