Rain, torrential for a short time mid to late morning dropped 11mm
of rain, which I think was 11mm more than expected. The 3 hour
duration of rainfall was accompanied by the occasional rumble of
thunder and a couple of showers from Ac castellanus (large spots)
have fallen this afternoon, the last finishing at 1635Z.

Unstable medium level cloud still occupies the sky, with the largest
turrets to the north where virga sweeps from their bases.
