Default Next week: warmth?

Hot weather looks likely to spread across many areas of Europe as a plume of heat is drawn from the deserts of North Africa, but will we get any of it? If it edges further west, we'll see the warmest day of the year so far at some stage next week and temperatures will push 30C somewhere. If not, we stay in unsettled weather courtesy of an Atlantic low, which may drift east and stall over us *((

It'll be touch and go whether the SE, or areas further inland, see any of the continental heat.

Given how dry the ground is in my area - less than 0.3mm this month - I'd imagine some quite high temperatures would be possible

There's a big "if" however. The gfs 12z is having none of it.
