I generally still use the old style site for rainfall radar, and sat
pics. This morning I thought I would give the new site another go. It still took ages to load and the vis cloud map showed it largely clear here whereas the old one showed extensive cloud. It is very cloudy here at the moment. I then tried to change the location and nothing happened and I realised it had locked up. I have a fairly fast PC running Windows 7 with 60mb broadband that is very quick for most other things. Not impressed. Dave |

But they did zilch about it. It is obviously a low priority, or they have not the resources, or they have not the knowledge to improve it. Probably all three. It is an embarrassment to them when other sites (eg NOAA) have fast and smooth animations. I use Rain today http://www.raintoday.co.uk/ or Netweather http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=radar;sess= for radar animations. Len |

Not impressed. Dave I find the Met Office site hugely frustrating at times - its almost like there is too much stuff on there, a lot of it hard to find unless you know the exact URL. For radar I use meteox.com - just because it seems to load faster on my system |
