.... no joy he just a 'trace' of rain - soon evaporated; in fact the 3
mm of a few days back hardly made an impact either - the ground is too
compacted and moisture all but evaporated within 24hr.

A short spell of heavy rain here as the front went through yesterday
evening gave 4.8mm. The grass is noticeably greener this morning.
