![]() This heat plume moving across Germany and eastern France this weekend is going to be a significant one. Maximum temperatures could be near July records. A couple of examples: Berlin's highest July (and indeed all-time) temperature is 38.8 deg C, and I expect the city to reach or slightly exceed 38 deg C on Sunday. Munich's is 37.1 deg C, and I'm forecasting at least 37 deg C for a maximum. Severe thunderstorms follow later Sunday/Monday with temperature moderating near normal but it looks like the whole process repeats Thu/Fri next week. Stephen. |
