Fair enough answer but through personal experience I know how these things work when an ideology takes over an organisation from the top downwards.

Prove it. I very much doubt this happened. It is more probably that it is just your far right-wing mentality that thinks it did, because you didn't like what was happening.

For example when the IPCC released it's 5th assessment a well known meteorologist emailed me telling me that all at Exeter had been briefed with the 'party line' as it were if approached by the press.

Really. Again, prove it; don't just say it.

I've also heard tales from the inside........

No you haven't. You are now just making it up.

....... that people are scared to show a contrary position inside UKMO as indeed I saw the same thing mentioned the other day for a similar American organisation.

An utterly ridiculous post, which you will fail to substantiate and probably end up throwing your toys out of the pram when you are pressed to.

Substantiating any of this was beyond you; mainly because you simply made most of it up.

Such is the ideologically driven fear that people fear job, pensions promotion or just standing still.

Thought so. You can't justify a word of what you said and you are thus trying to deflect.

Paul

For once just be rational, why would I make things up, why not make up more than your accusation said I have. I never lie , have no desire too. I genuinely believe what I say , I might be wrong but I would never knowingly lie, there is no point why would I take this stance and all the flak and lie to do so what's in it for me?

The person who emailed me the info didn't ask for it to be kept confidential but unless I hear otherwise I won't reveal who it was. However you might find this hard to reconcile with your self but I don't lie.

Yes I take you point that a statement that is controversial should be substantiated , for all I know this person could be lying just winding me up. Who knows, but my gut instinct in how these coercive practises work tell me otherwise.

Larry-the-far-right-wing-nutbar instructing someone to be "rational".

Priceless.
