That seems a bit low Roy only 23 mph ,
In most windy spells I regularlary hit 35-40 mph here in my sheltered urban
Essex site

40-45knot gusts, although I know they are a good distance south.

It didn't - recorded 33mph SSE at 23:03.

Given how sheltered it is here, I dread to think what the speed must've
been in more exposed areas! Even the above was pretty alarming, roaring
through the trees...
