http://www.thenewamerican.com/tech/e...arctic-sea-ice Yes it really is delicious irony for a bunch of so called young smart no nothings who treated the Antarctic like it was an x-box game, with a party, sloppy attitude and gung ho attitude towards reality with a snug ideological almost religious fervour that 'of course humans have melted all the ice how can we be in danger if was far worse when Mawson, Shackleton, Admundsen and Scott adventured there'. I've noticed with the AGW crowd how young, arrogant and cock-sure they seem to be with their blogs oozing contempt for those that have seen it all before. I've seen parallels with this in the industry I work in but I'm not at liberty to divulge that yet, but funnily enough I was discussing it with a colleague earlier today. If people think I'm being unfair on these people than ponder this: This 'ship of fools' taxpayer funded is filled to the brim with ideologues such as I believe the Greenpeace president tow Guardian arrogant know it all's al no sweet FA yet they berate everyone else for doing the very same things that they've been doing. One wonders how much fossil fuel, time and energy has been expended in rescuing these hate filled idiots from their jolly junket that has ended in farce . The modern world and capitalism that these fools so readily despise, saved their sorry arses due to technology that the last hundred years in primarily the great hated capitalist west has produced. For Scott there was no "hold on a moment Oats I'll send a message on my I-Pad". These people are an arrogant disgrace with nothing but contempt for all those older people they see as having caused the so called enviromental AGW disaster. Its a bit like parents telling their kids not to run into the road or at a later level steer clear of drugs and these idiots who tend to be the AGW activist movement saying "get stuffed old timers what do you know , **** off".. A friend of mine has a boat moored at Reading on the Thames and every year he tells the same story of young idiots jumping of bridges into a very cold Thames and in many cases drowning because they were lulled by sunny conditions and a contempt for people that had seen it all before. Back to the 'Ship of Fools'. I would love to take all their hated technology away from them , radio, telephones and emails, their oil based nylon jump suits and waterproofs and say stick with your principles and now get on with it by yourselves. |

Well when they were rightfully incarcerated by the Russian authorities, as Jonesy would say 'They didn't like it up um'. No what would have been the carbon energy foot print ideal of an old Soviet Gulag had them squealing like little piggy's just wanting to get back home to central heating and hot water. |

There is a fate far worse than being incarcerated in a austere , freezing cold old Uncle Joe labour camp and that is being made to share a cell or hut with Dawlish and two of his socks, yes a pair of crusty old socks......................................... Have you measured this with the ******** meter because you've just sent it off the scale. |

Thanks Freddie, That saves me trying to explain to Lawrence why a sudden change in wind direction can cause disaster for a ship, and a future change in prevailing wind direction could cause disaster for an island race.
