The view from Portsmouth was quite eye-catching today - lots of wispy high
level cloud racing along at high speed (the jet stream appears to be right over the UK at the moment) and a selection of lower level cloud as well, to add to the variety. The 'satellite visible' animation on the Met Office website shows the lengthening shadows cast across southern England by that band of high level cloud as the sun goes down. Fascinating stuff... Nice animated satellite view here, and you can drag the slider forwards and backwards to have a good look at how the clouds are moving: http://www.yr.no/satellitt/europa_animasjon.html |
