A record metre (1000mm) of rain this winter is now certain, but how much more than a metre? Almost there now. Up to 970.0 mm. As of 1800 Weds 12th. Interesting stuff! Should reach the metre later today. Already 20.1 mm (AWS) so far today at 1045. Some of that sleet earlier. Will report the total this evening. http://www.lyneside.demon.co.uk/Hayt...antage_Pro.htm Will Hand (Haytor, Devon, 1017 feet asl) --------------------------------------------- |

Do you beat the really wet places like Seathwaite and the wetter gauges around there or are their figures harder to find? I would have thought a normal winter in higher Borrowdale would top 1000mmm, never mind a wet one such as this. Best wishes, Ken |

Best wishes, Ken Hi Ken, in a *normal* winter places like Seathwaite, GDF etc are far wetter than I. But judging by the reports from Brampton etc it has not been particularly wet up there. And with the normal depression track this winter well south, it has been much wetter down here than normal. Now up to 35mm (AWS) today and still it comes down. According to Bruce, I'm wetter than Shap! Cheers, Will -- http://www.lyneside.demon.co.uk/Hayt...antage_Pro.htm Will Hand (Haytor, Devon, 1017 feet asl) --------------------------------------------- |
