That's the 100mm rainfall barrier swept aside for the month
already. On top of the 201mm in December and the 274mm in January, we have received almost three quarters of our average annual rainfall in little over two months! Continuous rain during daylight hours gave way to showers for a time with large Cu visible at sunset lit in a lurid orange. Rain and drizzle mixed resumed this evening, though with the odd burst of heavy rain. Hints of the moon from time to time but it's overcast at the moment. The wind whipped up to gale force when the rain briefly eased
with a peak gust of 59kt at 2116Z. I've heard a couple of bangs and crashes outside which doesn't bode well for my journey to work before sunrise tomorrow.
