Default Northampton wind

My AWS is in a fairly sheltered position in the back garden due to
surrounding buildings and trees. But is does keep it out of direct
sunlight, so temperature and rainfall figures are pretty accurate.
However, experience has shown that wind speeds are consistently
under-read by about 50%, with anything above 30kph being somewhat news
worthy. It's just topped out at 56kph and 55kph in the last 20 minutes.

The speed dial (Cumulus) on the computer display usually covers 0-50kph.
It had to re-draw itself for a short while to cover 0-100kph!!!

I don't have access to an AWS, but from the sheer noise outside, and the fact that wheelie bins are whizzing around the road, it certainly seems like it is the windiest I've known it here in Milton Keynes for a long time (certainly the windiest this winter). All the previous storms have had relatively little effect around here.

I matched my 36mph record of 2 days previously, here. Surprised it
wasn't exceeded though, based on the noise!
