The coming warmth and sunshine should make the whole country feel so much better! I think the top temp on Sunday is likely to be in this range. Will we have the first 70F of the year? Doubtful, but not impossible! Highest March temperature here going back to 1959 is March 28, 1965: 22.2C. I wonder if the date record is under threat? Actually I had realised how the models have moved so much in the last day with the high being much further south. Looking at ECMWF the little **** is probably nearer right than wrong. http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Recm721.gif |

The date record, according to Torro, is 21.1C on Sunday and I don't think that will be reached either. 18C? Quite possibly, somewhere. |

So does that mean you've yet again changed your 'running' forecast and 70c will now not be reached? |

You are, of course, correct. I certainly didn't forecast that 70c would be achieved. *)) Neither did I **forecast** that 70F would be achieved. I was simply speculating about the possible weekend temperatures. The speculation proved to be accurate. gfs forecast temps on their 2m temperatures chart always underestimate the top temperatures if the sun comes out - and my goodness did the sun come out! What a day! I drove from Cheltenham to South Wales and on to Dawlish around lunchtime and saw not a cloud in the sky. Car thermometer read 18C at the warmest, driving past Bristol at 1.30. |

For a man who has been convinced by 97% of Climate Scientist that global warming is will continue to rise and pose dangers to the human race ........you leave a gigantic carbon footprint. Do you not concede that this is rather hypocritical? |
