Quite a contrast over a small distance. Lyneham is in Wiltshire, I
believe, so can't be more than 50 miles from Hurn at the most.

Default Cold and grey in parts of the Midlands: Shobdon 6.6°C maximum

Glorious sunny warm day in Moray, with almost cloudless skies
and no breeze to speak of.

Off-topic, but we were astounded to see a Red Admiral butterfly
feeding on willow catkins. Normally Red Admirals don't survive
the winter in the UK, and we seldom see them much before August,
when they come in from continental Europe. Photograph will
become available at http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3883112 for
all those who don't believe me. You are in good company; our
local butterfly expert doubted me too until I showed him the
photo.

I saw a yellow butterfly several days ago - and I don't recall ever
seeing any kind of butterfly this early before!
