wintry over the hills. Actual................... dry and sunny ![]() Another 8 hours sunshine here, not a shower in sight! 100 hours up, quite amazing for this normally dull place, our March average on 85 hours, so well above average and with 10 days of the month left. Actual................... dry and sunny ![]() It seemed that cold/wet-mageddon was on the cards but here it was a lovely day too with crystal clear air, dazzling sunshine, fantastic cloudscapes and a couple of light/brief showers this afternoon with an amazing rainbow thrown in as well. Min = 3.8C Max = 12.6C Rain = 1.7 mm Sunshine = 7.4 hours. Monthly total now stands at 110 hours (the average for the whole month is 118 hours). -- Nick G Otter Valley, Devon 20 m amsl http://www.ottervalley.co.uk |

![]() It seemed that cold/wet-mageddon was on the cards Forecast was even worse for today than Friday and still it's mostly fine!! Few light snow flurries early today then a fine morning with sunny spells until just after midday then it went threatening for a while but we managed 0.2mm of rain, feeble effort really. Sun back out again now and looking good for the this afternoon ![]() Forecasts for the last 2 days have been abysmal, it's only one day ahead not a week , come on Met Office this is a joke ![]() Graham (North Staffs) |

There was a pretty sharp shower here between 1430 and 1445 with a max rate of 13 mm/hr. Quite a few other showers in the vicinity this afternoon with hail/sleet shafts clearly visible down to near ground level. You're doing much better than us for sunshine. Only 70 hours so far this month. -- Norman Lynagh Tideswell, Derbyshire 303m a.s.l. http://peakdistrictweather.org |

The monthly sunshine figures show that up only too well. Our sunshine hours for the past 7 months a Aug 88.8 Sep 69.6 Oct 45.3 Nov 63.0 Dec 44.8 Jan 32.6 Feb 58.2 March is already the sunniest month since last August and we could see March overtaking the August figure. As you say, it's been a pretty sunless spell. -- Norman Lynagh Tideswell, Derbyshire 303m a.s.l. http://peakdistrictweather.org |

But it was much more sunny than usual here with a lot of rain at night and a lot of sun in between depressions. As you say, much better t han expected today although the wind was strong and cold. |

We got some very sharp ones, with soft hail, further west in Dawlish. |
