Default More Than Lovely day in the South

Went to Brighton today got there at 7:30am and left at 3:15 pm after being very disappointed with the Brighton Hi-Fi show. Anyway the weather was beautiful and I've never been by train to Brighton before so it gave me a good chance to see just how much water seem to be still laying deep in fields and ditches after such a wet winter. The weather was glorious with a seemingly stiff ESE breeze almost blowing the small waves parallel with the pebbled beach. Disappointing HI Fi wise day, however fantastic weather and a pleasant surprise as to how quick it is to get to Brighton; from Brighton Station to my house in Sydenham just under an hour.

Just thought I'd share that with those who haven't kill filed or just ignore me.

An hour?
You could do it in 4 minutes in the 50s.

The irony is Col I recently work wise moved from Dulwich SE London to Hackbridge in Sutton and although that is only 15 miles further each way compared to my previous journey of 3 mille each way, the latter journey took me 10 minutes and the former to Hackbridge takes over and hour EACHWAY.

So there you have 9 miles takes over an hour and to Brighton just over forty miles takes less than an hour.

Glad you had a nice day. Presumably you gain from Sydenham being so
close to East Croydon, where most of the fast trains stop.
