A rather unexpected warmest day of the year so far, with few clouds, long sunny intervals and a fabulous afternoon of golf practice! The air was sinking and warming, in the lee of Dartmoor. It can be a special localised microclimate here in a NW airstream on this coast.

Maximum of 20.9C and over 11 hours of sunshine (so far). No lee of Dartmoor here in a northwesterly. -- Nick Gardner Otter Valley, Devon 20 m amsl http://www.ottervalley.co.uk |
