Default Prague 6 to 10 October 2014

Reanalysis User and Application Survey, organised by FMI. The final report
"Deliverable D552, Reanalysis and user needs with respect to Climate Change Services"
is now available from http://www.coreclimax.eu/?q=Reports

With the text below, provided by the workshop organizers, we would like to invite you to a related EMS Side Meeting in Prague, October 2014.

Details are below, including a survey link giving you the opportunity to shape the content of the meeting.

"At the 14th EMS Annual Meeting & 10th European Conference on Applied Climatology (ECAC), 06 - 10 October 2014, Prague, Czech Republic the CORECLIMAX Team (from the FP7 project CORECLIMAX) will organize a workshop entitled:
"SM3 - CORECLIMAX Capacity Building Workshop - Climate Services: Products and tools to make choices":

http://meetingorganizer.copernicus.o...onprogramme/SM

The workshop will deal with future climate services and the usability of the terrestrial, oceanic as well as atmospheric Earth Observation data. The workshop will aim at building capacities on the use of climate information. The specific objectives of the workshop are to provide guidance and expertise by training people on the use of climate information and its associated uncertainty, and to provide generic tools to build the bridge between the climate information and the users' need.

The workshop will contain lectures from experienced data providers as well as hands-on practical training. Part of this hands-on training will be in the shape of so-called case studies, tailored to the specific background of the participants. Details on the content and registration dates will be made available by the end of June.

To obtain a good idea of potential cases we have constructed a survey where we ask you for your experience in the use of climate information. From the response we will select a few cases which will be dealt with in the practical training of the workshop.

We would therefore like to ask some 5 to 10 minutes of your time to fill and submit the survey, before 24 June 2014, at:

http://www.coreclimax.eu/?q=ClimateC...vicesInventory

so that we obtain a proper overview of the interests and needs of potential workshop participants. Also in the case you do not consider participation in the workshop we encourage you to fill the survey, since it will enhance our understanding of potential interests and needs.

We would like to thank you in advance and look forward to welcoming you in Prague!

Sincerely,
The CORECLIMAX Team"

Kind regards
Someone rather dawlish from the ECMWF ERA Team

I suppose it wouldn't hurt if someone went in my place. They would soon realise you were too thick to be me but it would be too late by then and they would be too thick to do much about it.
