Default [WR] S.Essex, clear blue skies new high max.

A much windier day today but with clear skies temperature has risen to a
new year high of 28.2C. DOesn't feel to bad with the breeze though.
Could be a hot night with cloud coming in tonight.
Dave, Laindon, S.Essex.

A really crap forecast here in the far north of Scotland. At 0855
the forecast stated that 'the rain now falling will persist until late
afternoon'. I looked out of the window and it was clear blue sky!
It hasn't rained all day and apart from being a bit breezy earlier,
it's been good working weather outside. I don't live in a
microclimate but on top of a hill with views of 25 miles to the
west, 30 miles to the north and 10 miles to the south - an area
in the region of 1000 square miles. But hey, this is not
Wimbledon, just a strange place called Scotland that no-one
would give a **** about if it wasn't for our oil.

The one thing that really worries us, is if a good day is forecast -
then we are in trouble!

Sounds awful IMHO :-( A much more comfortable 15.8 here in Tideswell.

28.1°C for me near the airport.

Shoeburyness reported 27.5°C on the 14:00 synop, so be interesting to
see what the max comes up as at 18z synop.

METAR at Southend Airport showed 28°C for two hours.

As you said Dave, nice breeze and did some liquid treatments today in
Upminster and Hornchurch ~ happy days :-)

The breeze was noticeable though I think the humidity was higher than yesterday. It was just starting to border on what I find as 'slightly uncomfortable'. 15.8 in Tideswell - think I need to move up north
