Amazing how variable rainfall can be over such a narrow area.
As previously mentioned Sundays event affected us with around 23mm and also affected areas to the east eg Bridlington 10 miles away. But a few miles West of here, zilch. Tuesday gave us 26mm and to a lesser extent affected areas to the West, but Bridlington had none. Today we have been right on the edge with only 2.6mm, but a mile to the West it's dry. I see Bridlington has had 9mm to 1800. The nearest station I have access to is 8 miles to The NW where 14.8mm has been recorded this month, and it's up to 63.5mm here. Well I found it fascinating! Hi,David
The cloud edge has been clearly visible just far enough away to our east. No rain at all here from those systems. Fascinating as you say over such small distances. Ken Copley Teesdale |
