Default [WR] Fareham 28 Jul 2014: 30.3 deg C

My Locks Heath (suburban walled garden) site) reached 30.3 deg C on
Saturday, which is my highest of the year by 0.1 deg C, though not the
highest this year in the local area. I delayed reporting as it looks
to be a degree or so out of line with other south coast stations (29.5
being the highest at Hurn), but on examining my 5 minute interval data
logs and checking the fan and screen I can't find any reason to
disallow it. Local (garden!) conditions I guess.

Max: 30.3 at 15:25 BST
Min: 16.0 at 06:11 BST
Grass Min: 14.0 at 03:40 BST
Rain: 0.0

Wind was light and predominantly northerly, this is the 6th
consecutive day of predominant wind direction between NNW and NNE and
this helps to explain the following.

Saturday was the 7th consecutive day here that exceeded 27 degrees C,
which just beats July 2013's 'best' run for that temperature.

The date should of course be 26 July.
