I remember Pier's prediction for an historically bitter winter for the UK in 1980/81, I've still got the Telegraph article tucked away somewhere. In it you old boss said a large dome of frigid air would form of the UK and Europe of course that winter was a right of for coldie fans now maybe Piers was a year out of phase as the period up until and just after Christmas 81/82 was a bit tasty . |
