Default Flooding in Southend tonight...

Got wet inside the Dixons theatre tonight as the water started pouring
through the roof, but the show went on ~ stiff uper lip British :-)
Thunder and rain could be heard inside the theatre, it was that intense.

The London Road lots of flooding with shops inundated.

Finally, navigated our way back home along the A127 lots of surface
water. Just restarted my computers as the power had gone off and Davis
recorded 25.8mm of rain in the hour. Just looking at my 15 minute
intervals, 14.8mm fell in 15 minutes.

Oh well, bang goes that dry September :-)

What were you watching? The Tempest? With audience participation?

Oh, never mind.

You've just been on Radio 2 news. Wasn't listening properly, so can't
give you details, but something about a collapsed roof was mentioned.

I hope you meant 'from inside', unless the air conditioning went really
haywire...

I know exactly how you feel. It was a bit damp here first thing and I was going to go out too. Very dull still!

Oh well.

Mm, bit worried that also bang goes my R& D Sun electronic dial, noticed
it had zero'd last night for both the day and the monthly cumultive
total, need the sun to come out to see if it is actually working :-( I
don't think it was hit by lightning, just the power cut that did
something. I have everything crossed that it will start when the sun
comes out...
