It's still warm & sunny in Cornwall.
Currently (14:00) temperature is 20.5C , mainly sunny & light winds. Three consective really cracking days Monday http://www.sennen-cove.com/29sep14.htm Tuesday http://www.sennen-cove.com/30sep14.htm Today http://www.minack.com/webcamsref.htm Yesterday the front held off until late afternoon, here it is approaching. http://www.sennen-cove.com/lbtdy.htm It did add a bit to my September monthly rainfall, boosting it byt 2.1mm to 6.8mm. I recorded an SST temperature just off Penzance (2-3' below the surface ) of 19C this morning. A record for October. Even out at the Porthleven & Penzance buoys the temperature is near 18C, http://www.channelcoast.org/data_man...e_data/charts/ a good 3C above the early October norm, indeed above the norm for early July. Quite unprecedented in my experience, and I've be going a few years. Graham Penzance |

Quite unprecedented in my experience, and I've be going a few years. Graham Penzance With temperatures in west Cornwall widely around 20C, even on cliff tops, gentle sea breezes set in. There was some 3 way convergence just south of Camborne Redruth (SE off Falmouth Bay, SW off Mounts Bay, NW off the north coast.) Currently still occuring http://www.xcweather.co.uk/ . This led to some dark threatening cloud and a small almost stationary shower over a few unfortunate people. Best viewpoint in the sunshine on the coast! Big swell in mid Atlantic now, large area 30' http://magicseaweed.com/UK-Ireland-MSW-Surf-Charts/1/ Graham |
