Default Just thought I'd just remind you:-

James Madden of EXACTA WEATHER said just three weeks ago:-
“As the colder weather begins to take more of a stronghold throughout
the latter part of October and into November, widespread frosts and
dense fog patches will also become a quite prominent feature for many.”

Phew, now that's what I call a weather foolcast !!!

And yet what happened was far more remarkable than that!

No surprises there then. I suppose arguably their forecasts do have
information content if you assume that what they say is *NOT* going to
be true. Beats me why the redtops trumpet the output of these charlatans
quite so often and why their readers are too dumb to notice!

Phew, now that's what I call a weather foolcast !!!

It was impressively warm yesterday. We had to turn all the heating off
at the VH Halloween Quiz last night. In a normal year we would struggle
to get the main hall comfortably warm from a 5pm start on a weekday.

I'd wager the Daily Over-expressive still quotes his cold winter forecast on their front page and implies it's from the MetO. 👎😵

I think it might have done already - someone asked me last week if it
was true it was going to be the coldest winter for 100 years. I just
said NO!

Yes, a chap I know said that to me as well this morning. He couldn't
remember which newspaper he'd seen it though. Said it reminded him of
when he heard a bloke at the railway station handing over 2d to the
newspaper seller for, as he said, "the Daily Lies". It was quite a while
ago. ;-)
