Default Never in the Field of Model Conflict

Blimey ecmwf and gfs couldn't be any more different than they are currently

GFS 168 http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn1681.gif stiff westerly

ECMWF 168 http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Recm1681.gif stiff easterly

GFS 192 http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn1921.gif

ECMWF 192 http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Recm1921.gif

and the never the twain shall meet before the model run ends

Who's right or nearer the truth when it unfolds.
