Has he not seen the jet stream forecasts? Also Richard I hope you had permission to publish his majesty's musings! :-) Will -- http://www.lyneside.demon.co.uk/Hayt...antage_Pro.htm Will Hand (Haytor, Devon, 1017 feet asl) --------------------------------------------- |

Also Richard I hope you had permission to publish his majesty's musings! :-) It was all on twitter so it's fair game...! Actually it's a little bit daft posting this as we all know how much tosh he forecasts - but this one is interesting as he stands by his "method" even at such a short range rather than at, say, 14-28 days out. Actually it's a little bit daft posting this as we all know how much tosh he forecasts - but this one is interesting as he stands by his "method" even at such a short range rather than at, say, 14-28 days out. Richard ------------------------------------------ Musn't forget this one either:- "FIRST AGAIN SAT DEC 6 Sir Piers Says "ToldYa! We warned 1Dec and again 4 Dec that the period 5-8th(+/-1d) would see RAPID change of TV forecasts (standard UK MetOffice etc model short range) towards our WeatherAction long range forecasts (100d ahead in general, and map full detail over 21days ahead). This has happened and will continue to happen. "Already the MetOfficeYellowWarnings issued 5Dec (BELOW FOR THE RECORD) have been surpassed by warnings of snow pentration to lower levels and further South. "Now there is talk of substantial BI + NW Europe blizzards 9/10th (ABOVE). Given the 'Speed-Up' nature (old name for) of our 'Top Red Weather (solar effect) R4(5-6th) and R5(7-8th) (all+/-1d) periods these are likley to come earlier ~ 8-9th." Of course this has one of the well known tricks of including "NW Europe". Snow in the British sector = World's best forecast. Snow somwhere in NW Europe in December = Almost World's best forecast. It's called win/win or con/con As I call it. Dave |

Richard The problem is that some people believe him ----------------------------------------------------------- Madden's Exacta forecast not looking too brilliant either is it! He said: “Over the coming weeks and into November, it is likely to turn progressively colder, even very cold at times, in particular, in parts of the north as northern blocking becomes a somewhat more prominent feature. This is likely to bring some significant snow across higher ground within this period. This may also bring the first snow event of the season to some much lower levels of the country, in particular, in some parts to the north and east of the country, but these wintry weather events may also not necessarily be restricted to just these parts, and some much lower levels of the country could also experience their first taste of wintry weather for the season in terms of overnight snow or developing wintry showers. As the colder weather begins to take more of a stronghold throughout the latter part of October and into November, widespread frosts and dense fog patches will also become a quite prominent feature for many. Mr Madden said sudden changes in weather and pressure systems could drag swathes of freezing air from the Arctic across the UK with cold weather likely until next spring. This allows cold easterly winds to develop and increases the risk of northern blocking across the UK. A number of potentially very cold periods of weather and major snow events are likely to develop throughout this winter across large parts of the country, in particular, throughout the latter part of December and into January." |
