This is quite interesting. Just noticed the wording on the Met Office warnings site for the forthcoming snow:
"several centimetres of snow is likely even at low levels, especially in a swathe through Wales and the Midlands, where there is the potential for an amber warning" Certainly seems prudent with such uncertainty not to issue the warning commensurate with the worst case scenario (ie go wading into an amber). I still wonder however how many people are aware of the warnings site/where to find warnings other than on TV in such a fluid (or solid, as the case may be) situation. Happy Boxing Day Richard |
