Brussels on Saturday 27th December 2014

Cloudy but dry at first this morning after much rain and snow overnight.
Just a few small patches of snow remained on the ground in the
morning, so the overnight snow must have been very wet.

It started to rain again around 11.00 local time, and the rain turned to
sleet, and then snow over the next hour or so. It snowed fairly heavily
for about half an hour, and light to moderate snowfall has continued
throughout the afternoon and evening. Snow cover now about 7 cm.

Light to moderate N wind set in, and the temperature fell from around
3°C to just above 0°C, with the onset of the snow.
