So why does he charge for his forecasts and where does the money go?

He lived until recently in a dilapidated old sixties council block called the 'Heygate' that has now been pulled down. My work colleague knew him from his 'squatting" Camden days in the seventies. I truly believe Piers is genuine in what he does and believes in his system but I doubt he has that many subscribers, I mean one forecast and that can be shared in seconds nowadays.

UKMO have the advantage as they are publicly funded regardless.

Regardless of what? The UKMO has been a trading fund since 1996.

Where and how one lives is not necessarily related to income.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piers_Corbyn
states that in 1999 his company had annual revenues of £250,000.

You stated that "Piers doesn't make any money from Weather Action".
Perhaps you would be so kind as to produce your evidence.

Okay as you want to play the pedantic nerd. I've met Peirs twice he comes aross as totally sincere in what he does and based on the modest way he seems to live i doubt that figure is a regualr annual income, The Heygate FFS have you seen it? Peirs does have a basement office area in the Borough and that would eat away most of his income.

Another example of larry knowing sweet FA, so he gets edgy and just says stuff to fill a void, because he has no evidence for his beliefs whatsoever.

Idiot.

I'm not being pedantic and don't care for childish insults.

I am merely following up your claims. The figure of £250,000 was what
his "company" was reported in 1999 to be earning annually. You claimed
that "Piers doesn't make any money from Weather Action" and I merely
wondered how you knew. It seems you don't. Lots of wealthy people live
in "a modest way", so that's no evidence at all.

The Heygate FFS have you seen it? Peirs does have a basement office
area in the Borough and that would eat away most of his income.

No, I am not familiar with Heygate, nor with the rents charged for a
basement office area. From what you are saying, you are not only
familiar with the rent he would be paying but also know what his income
is, as you stated that the rent would "eat away most" of it.

Do please enlighten us. Or you could stop making claims for which you
have no evidence whatsoever. Your choice!

As the only person here who has met Piers twice and been to his office in the Borough in the basement of a fine old Georgian House with very expensive rent and council business tax, and actually worked with two people who knew Piers in the seventies in Camden and someone who knew Piers over the last ten years as Piers was the chair of the tenants association for the Heygate estate I would feel I have no need to lie. I just look at the known facts and humanly deduce from there.

But oh the irony, you accuse me of lying, you a man who posts under a fake name and withdraws all his posts after a week. A man who has no genuine email address calls a me, who has a real name , a real email address and has posted his telephone number to see if cowards like you are prepared to make your accusation face to face; a liar?

How have you got the front. Oh of course its easy you hide behind the anonymity afforded by mock accounts . You are pathetic

Oh by the way read this

http://www.wrp.org.uk/news/3197

Print it stick up you know where and remove after five days

One last word
Dear Malcolm ...put a Dawlish in it.

We live in a "celebrity world" where non qualified, non-professional
people speak garbage all of the time. We now have the internet which
makes it easy to propagate this garbage. People read it, don't challenge
it and regurgitate again as if it is a fact. I will take every
opportunity to expose it simply because it is ignorant and foolish. It
has nothing whatsoever to do with left wing politics or someone's
background. Many noteworthy scientists and other people have come from
humble backgrounds. The "easy targets" are the recipients of all of the
untruths and conspiracy theories that do the rounds.
That quote of Isaac Asimov that Graham oft quotes is more true than ever
these days in my opinion.
“Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through
our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that
democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.”

We live in a world where a little bit of knowledge deems many people to think they're "experts".
