Temperatures of 0° don't look exciting but when the averages are -15 to -25 it's quite exceptional. SW winds coming up all the way from North Africa (!) on the big high to the south. I'd be amazed if some records aren't being broken. Does anybody know?

Excuse my ignorance but what help do you think is required? A huge jet of warm air going to Russia from....? Some Russian geography has an habit of irascible temperatures. One would do better to examine the following environments on such occasions. When you hear flapping think butterflies not wanking. |
