0850
Occasional rain is sweeping across the moor driven on by a F5
westerly wind.
Very mild at +8.3C with RH 96%.
Good visibility with the cloud breaking a bit.
0945
First cold front through. T +7.8C and falling. Lots of blue sky
earlier but now clouding over again with a very gusty wind howling
round the house. Rain has stopped but it still feels mild and damp.
1025
Second front through. Short burst of heavy rain at 10 mm/h.
T +6.8C D +5.8C. Wind still westerly and gusty.
1130
Third cold front coming through and colder air is starting to dig in.
Moderate rain and very gusty. T +5.9C and falling rapidly.
1135
Dollops of sleet/ice now appearing on the velux in heavy precip. That
was quick!
T +5.4C falling rapidly.

1145
Snowing at Princetown apparently. Sleet at Postbridge. Clearing up here.
T +4.5C and falling quickly.

1155
Now sunny with lots of blue sky and a very lazy keen WNW wind.
T +3.9C D +2.7C
A suckers gap now till the snow showers roll in LOL.

1550
A fine and dry afternoon with a veil of medium cloud and scattered CuHum.
Hard surfaces are dry where exposed to the fresh and lazy mainly W'N wind.
Temperature has flat-lined at around 4C, but is now falling again at +3.4C
as is the dewpoint which is now -0.0C.
Just seen a gritter on the main road, presumably preparing for tonight's
action! Shower clouds are building to the west and the radar is looking more
colourful upwind, so with the wet-bulb freezing level now down to 450 metres
asl and lowering (calculated using my temperatures and DALR), snow is
looking likely.
