Was it Polar maritime or Arctic Maritime air today?
Half and half if you ask me. Lots and lots of showers here. More than usual for a polar maritime , but really not that cold. max 6.8C min 3.2C rain to 1800Z 6.5 mm. A good amount of instability which goes with cold air over relatively warm sea, suggesting more Polar maritime than Arctic Maritime. I think the Arctic Maritime digs in over the weekend with less in the way of showers. Len Wembury, SW Devon |

Len, did you walk the length of the Nile recently?
Update - I've just been told it was Lev Wood! Is he a relative? -- Nick Gardner Otter Valley, Devon 20 m amsl http://www.ottervalley.co.uk |

Certainly Arctic like up here this afternoon with the heavy snow and temperatures near freezing. Although he might be as he is a good looking bloke. He's a good deal younger than me. The most I can walk these days is down the lane to the pub. :-( Len ----------------------------------------------------------------------- |
