Default Mild Atlantic flow at T+240?

All models in agreement, but see if there's consistency by this evening. gfs has shown this for 2 runs.

Winter over? *))

Maybe, maybe not. Time will tell!

Still plenty of snow cover at my site so we should get a few snow lying days
for February though I don't see much more snow coming our way

I don't have the earlier charts to refer to, but my memory of the GFS
and ECM charts (the only ones I normally look at) is that many -
possibly most - have located high pressure close enough to southern
England to suggest that - though the air at altitude would be mild - it
would be likely to remain cold over much of England, with light winds
and either anticyclonic gloom or sharp frosts overnight and possible
fog. The 12Z GFS and ECM runs are now both showing variants of this.

I'm still waiting for it to start. Appears to be more "jam tomorrow" as
far as serious cold goes for here. I've only had one max below 4C the
whole of January.

Yes, much more anticyclonic and that ruins any chance of consistency in the output today.

Ditto. I haven't even recorded an air frost in this current 'cold' spell. Today was the worst possible winter weather - raw, dull with intermittent light rain. Nothing to commend it... :/

Same here. Reached 6.7C briefly yesterday, the lowest max of January. Most of the time there were rain/hail/sleet showers with the temperature between 4 & 5C and a near gale northerly, raw & bleak summed it up.

We did have an air frost back on 17th Jan, nothing since

Still windy this morning, recent gust to 39mph, but at least it's dry & mainly sunny, which makes a real change.
