Swanston, Edinburgh January 2015
Mild, wet and windy first 2 weeks, much colder after that with snow at
times. Another month dominated by westerly winds Mean max 5.8, mean min 1.2, overall mean 3.5 Rain 97.8mm, wettest day 11.9mm on 11th Sunshine 76.60 hours, sunniest day 6.90 hours on 30th Snow cover at 0900 on 7days, days snow falling 14, max depth 4cm and now...a first for this AWS... 'A day with gale'i.e a 10 minute wind speed 39mph.
