I really do think these are over the top. Had our first 5 minute sleet
shower for the period, hardly worth mentioning.

Default More warnings....

I think these are quite accurate provided the clues are spotted and the text deciphered....

For example'

"A mixture of rain, sleet and snow" == cold rain

"A wintry mix" == rain

"Some accumulations possible above 150m ... " == no snow for East Anglia

"Showers will turn readily to snow away from the coasts " == cold rain

"Snow is likely in the heavier showers " == some sleet is possible

"Cold air means showers will be of snow wherever they occur " == it will be dry.


These translations have been very reliable for my low level near coastal location in NE Suffolk,
