Swanston, Edinburgh February 2015 and Winter 2014/15
February
Mean max 6.7C, mean min 1.8, overall mean 4.2 Precipitation 53.1mm, wettest day 28th with 14.5mm Sunshine 117.57 hours, sunniest day 9.12 hours on the 21st - a sunny month. From the 1st - 11th no rainfall recorded. Stronger westerlies set in mid month bringing changeable mild/cold conditions with snow showers in the latter. 8 days snow falling but none with snow lying at 0900. The 28th was most unpleasant with heavy rain late afternoon and the wind gusting to 59mph at 2300. Local flooding in south Edinburgh. Winter Mean max 6.4C, mean min 1.8, overall mean 4.1C.
